Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Airport Security Officer at Kahului Airport to protect travelers and staff. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor terminals and access points, and provide courteous customer service while following site procedures.

Requirements include fluent English, a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to pass background and drug screening, and a valid driver's license for driving roles. Schedule: Daytime 2:30 PM–11:00 PM on Monday and Tuesday.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and agency personnel while following site procedures and emergency protocols.

• Monitor access points and restricted areas in accordance with site policies and reporting procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and contact appropriate personnel as needed.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate information to supervisors.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, exterior grounds, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, restricted-area entry locations, and vehicle or pedestrian activity in accordance with site-specific policies and established reporting procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and authorized personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
