As an Unarmed Security Officer at a transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist travelers, visitors, and staff with professionalism. You will report observations, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue07:30 AM - 04:00 PM Sun07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

This role requires 2 weeks of paid, in person training, in a full time capacity before starting the shift applied to. Training will be Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Requirements:

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, access points, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, activity logs, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
