Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI. The role focuses on unarmed patrols, customer service to travelers and staff, and adherence to site procedures to deter incidents.

You will work a set schedule with a 26.50/hour pay rate, and opportunities to grow through training and additional shifts via the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check, drug screen, and other screenings as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and airport personnel by following site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, and related locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry attempts or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly using established procedures.
• Prepare clear activity, incident, and patrol reports and maintain professional communication with leadership and responders.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and airport personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, roadways, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government facility procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership, airport personnel, and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
