Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Airport Security Officer for the Afternoon shift in Honolulu, HI. You will safeguard clients, monitor terminal areas, and provide exceptional customer service while patrolling at an airport location.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government airport location, you will maintain a visible presence, follow site policies, and support a welcoming environment. Excellent communication and professionalism are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter zones, access points, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, unattended items, access-control concerns, hazards, and other security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events calmly and professionally; coordinate with airport personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; provide clear information and directions to the public when needed.

Requirements

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter zones, access points, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with airport personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and provide clear information and directions to the public when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
