Job summary

DK Security is seeking an unarmed Security Officer for part-time, first/second/third shifts in Kentwood, MI. You will perform customer-service‑oriented security duties across multiple sites while maintaining a professional image and strict adherence to post guidelines.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check and drug screen, and are willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification. Training and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No felony convictions; pass background check.
• Must pass a drug test at hire and during employment.
• Willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. Officers at this site will be working multiple customer service positions. Additional responsibilities will be provided.

SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like:

• Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.


• Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.


• Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.


• Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.


• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.


• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.


• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.


• Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified.


• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  
  
  
  • Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
  
  
  • No other major violations in the last 3 years.

  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs

• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
