Job summary

Jacobs in Chicago, IL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the BHS program at O’Hare International Airport. You will partner with client reps, manage a Construction Manager At‑Risk, and assist in coordinating design and construction activities to advance a multi‑billion‑dollar redevelopment program.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction, 5+ years of APM experience, and ability to work onsite full time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction.
• 5+ years’ experience as an Assistant Project Manager at an Engineering, Environmental, or Construction organization.
• Experience on projects with a minimum construction value of $100 million.
• Related design and construction project management experience with building projects.
• Working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client representatives and manage the appointed Construction Manager At‑Risk (CMR).
• Support Project Managers with stakeholder coordination, interface management, design and construction oversight, value engineering, reporting, problem solving, risk assessments, preparation of presentation materials and day‑to‑day project and technical management.
