Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Loads, unloads, services, guides, and directs customer aircraft.
2. Safeguards customers' baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, and/or destruction.
3. Lifts, loads/unloads, sorts, and transfers passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts safely.
4. Operates pushback equipment and maintains visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure safety.
5. Receives and records customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials as required.
6. Picks up, delivers, and transports cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, preparing necessary records.
7. Operates and/or drives motorized equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers; or manually pushes and pulls carts and containers.
8. Completes paperwork related to work assignments and enters data into the company's information system.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned, within the skill and experience level for this position.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a local (in-state) resident.
2. Valid in-state driver's license.
3. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a 10-year background check.
4. At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
5. Completion of ramp and SIDA training for airport security ID.
6. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items of 70 pounds or more regularly, and lift 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces.
7. Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
8. Capable of working in cramped or high places and carrying heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
9. High School diploma or GED.
10. Preferred: Over one year of relevant experience.
