Job summary

Unifi Aviation, LLC is hiring for ramp and baggage-handling roles. You will load and unload aircraft, guide baggage, and protect cargo and mail from the elements and theft.

The position requires lifting heavy loads, operating ground support equipment, and maintaining safety through training like ramp and SIDA. Qualifications include US work authorization, in-state residency, valid ID, and the ability to pass drug screens and background checks.

Qualifications

• Local in-state resident.
• In-State Driver's License required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
• Ability to obtain USPS Approval to handle mail.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorization to work in the United States per IRCA 1986.
• Ramp and SIDA training required to obtain airport identification security.
• Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull items of 70+ pounds regularly.
• Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1+ year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, services, guides, and directs customer aircraft.
• Safeguards baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage and/or destruction.
• Lifts and transfers baggage, freight and materials safely to/from aircraft bins, belts or carts.
• Operates pushback equipment with visual contact to Wing Walkers to ensure safety.
• Records customer baggage and company materials in the information system.
• Picks up and transports cargo and baggage to/from aircraft and prepares records.
• Drives belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs and other equipment.
• Completes paperwork related to procedures and enters data into the company system.
• Performs other related duties within the required skill and experience.
