Job summary

Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Ramp Agent for part-time evening shifts at the airport in Tampa, FL. You will load/unload cargo, verify shipments, and operate equipment while maintaining safety and service levels.

The role requires English proficiency, the ability to follow instructions, and SIDA background/badge requirements. A driver’s license is preferred. Weekend work may be required, with guaranteed hours in some shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to verbally direct in English.
• Successful completion of the SIDA airport badging or background check process required for this location.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight; builds up and breaks down cargo pallets and containers following guidelines.
• Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely.
• Obtains proper security documents for all shipments.
• Verifies shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness on receipt.
• Verifies shipment pieces and airway bill numbers on delivery.
