Shift Schedule: Days of the week: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday; Shifts: A.M. and P.M.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, service, guide, and direct customer aircraft.
- Safeguard customers' baggage, air cargo, and mail from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction.
- Lift, load/unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials safely.
- Operate pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure safety.
- Record and receive customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials.
- Transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, and prepare related records.
- Operate motorized equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, pushback tugs, and carts, or manually handle carts and containers.
- Complete paperwork and data entry related to work assignments and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned within skill and experience levels.
Qualifications
- Must be an in-state resident.
- Valid in-state driver's license.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check up to 10 years.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. under the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
- Completion of ramp and SIDA training for airport security ID.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 70 pounds or more regularly, and lift 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces.
- Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
- Capability to work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Ability to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Over 1 year of relevant experience.
