Job summary

AlphaGov is seeking an experienced Airport Planning & Environmental Consultant to contribute to municipal aviation projects in a remote-first setup with occasional travel. You will prepare CIP inputs and supporting documents for FAA planning, and lead NEPA work for airport projects.

The role fits a 1099 project-based engagement, offering flexible collaboration on proposals and active involvement in shaping environmental and planning decisions for public-sector clients.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in airport planning or airport environmental work.
• Working knowledge of FAA AIP, ACIP, ALP, and NEPA (FAA Order 1050.1F).
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update Airport Capital Improvement Plans and airport layout plan inputs.
• Support FAA/state AIP grant planning and justification.
• Lead NEPA environmental documentation for airport projects.
• Coordinate with FAA ADO and state aviation offices.
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming.

AlphaGov is engaging an Airport Planning & Environmental Consultant for current municipal work. A general aviation airport needs airport planning and/or environmental consulting for its Airport Capital Improvement Plan.

We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.
