Job summary

Pet Paradise in College Park, GA is seeking a professional, friendly Pet Stylist/Groomer to join our team. The role offers flexible scheduling and commissions: 50% on grooms, 40% on baths, plus sign-on and bonuses.

You will care for dogs and cats, greet guests, consult with parents, and help grow our guest list. We provide ongoing training and chances to advance within a resort-style pet care environment, including access to day camp, boarding, and discounts on grooming and veterinary care

Qualifications

• One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Customer service oriented and excellent verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with standard cuts for all breeds and safe handling of dogs and cats.
• Great work ethic, organized, reliable, and a team player.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment for guests.
• Flexibility to handle resort schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultations and explain services available with costs.
• Safely groom multiple guests per day with professional technique.
• Check for parasites, lumps, or cuts prior to bathing.
• Clean and pluck ears, trim nails, and express glands as needed.
• Bathe guests with proper products; demat, brush, and fluff dry.
• Maintain grooming room and clean tools and cages.
• Work in a heated, high-humidity area with loud dryers.
• Grow customer base by calls, cross-selling, and walking the halls for needs.
• Greet guests professionally and check them in.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Resort Manager.
