Job summary

City of Mesquite seeks Airport Director to provide executive leadership for all airport operations at Mesquite Metro Airport. Responsibilities include strategic planning, fiscal management, maintenance and capital improvement planning, and oversight of daily operations for commercial and general aviation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation/airport management or related discipline.
• Minimum four years of progressively responsible airport operations experience, including two years in supervision.
• Desirable familiarity with TxDOT Aviation or FAA State Block Grant Program.
• Possession of A.A.E., C.M., ACE, or pilot certification is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and direction for all aspects of airport operations.
• Develop and manage budgets and capital improvement planning.
• Coordinate FAA grants and airport expansion projects.
• Represent airport with City Council, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, DHS, TSA and other regulations.
