Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls is seeking an Airport Operations Manager for the Idaho Falls Regional Airport. The role ensures regulatory compliance with the Airport Certification Manual, oversees day-to-day operations, and leads the safety and security programs needed for a commercial service airport.

You will supervise Airfield Operations and Maintenance staff, coordinate training, and work with multiple agencies to maintain efficient, safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management, airport management, aviation safety, business management or a related field.
• At least three (3) years’ work experience in Airport Operations with direct responsibility for carrying out the requirements of an Airport Certification Manual issued in accordance with 14 CFR Part 139 at a commercial service airport.
• Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives, or ability to attain within one-year.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with FAA and airport manual provisions.
• Oversee daily airport operations and maintenance activities.
• Supervise Airfield Operations and Maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on contracts, leases, and planning.
• Lead safety and security programs and emergency response planning.
• Manage budget processes and equipment needs.
