Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a Stationary Equipment Technician to maintain and repair stationary equipment across airport facilities, including baggage handling and conveyor systems.

You will inspect, diagnose, and perform preventive maintenance while keeping detailed records. The role requires 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience, ability to read manuals, and strong English communication; willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays; a valid driver’s license; and

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs credentials eligibility as applicable.
• Airlines are 24/7; availability for nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on stationary equipment, including baggage handling systems and conveyor systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, repairing mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the Stationary Equipment Supervisor to ensure safe, efficient operation and adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Use diagnostic tools to assess components and systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and wear PPE during tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs and preventive tasks.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
• Engage in training to stay updated on equipment technologies and maintenance best practices.
• Respond to equipment emergencies with the team to minimize downtime.
