The Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) is seeking a Grounds Laborer to maintain airside and landside grounds, perform routine and skilled maintenance, and support security inspections at Jacksonville International Airport. The role involves operating various power equipment and performing preventative maintenance under supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience operating lawn equipment, with the ability to work day/night shifts

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of work experience operating lawn equipment.
• Ability to obtain/maintain SIDA badge.
• Knowledge of FAA, TSA, and FDOT regulations.
• Ability to operate radios and communicate clearly with controllers and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Performs landscape and minor construction work as part of grounds maintenance.
• Repairs asphalt, concrete, and fences as needed.
• Conducts property security and safety inspections for landside and airside areas.
• Performs pressure washing on airfield, buildings, sidewalks, etc.
• Assists in preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and components.
• Operates power equipment, wheel tractors, sweepers, air hammers, forklifts and other equipment.
