$24.71 - $32.05 per hour, with opportunity for additional merit‑based increases to a range maximum of $39.21 per hour. In addition, employees working non‑day shifts receive an additional $3.00 per hour of shift differential pay. Initial salary placement is based upon experience and qualifications. This is an hourly and overtime eligible position.
The entry level in the Facilities Technician series is distinguished from the Facilities Technician II by less than autonomous performance of repair/maintenance duties and responsibilities. They may have limited or no directly related work experience, but are expected to meet many of the requirements of the Technician II position within 24 months from the time of appointment as a Technician I.
High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. An equivalent combination of experience and training may be substituted on a year for year basis.
One (1) year of experience in semi‑skilled building maintenance or construction work.
A valid Driver's License is required at the time of application.
Performs duties under general supervision and is distinguished from the Facilities Technician I by partially autonomous performance of a full‑range of duties.
High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. An equivalent combination of experience and training may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Two (2) years of experience performing the full range of semi‑skilled facilities maintenance or construction work, exceeding or equivalent to Facilities Technician II.
A valid Driver's License is required at the time of application.
Performs duties under general supervision and is distinguished from the Facilities Technician II by the independent performance of a full‑range of duties, exercising high levels of judgement and initiative.
High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. An equivalent combination of experience and training may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Five (5) years of experience performing the full range of skilled facilities maintenance or construction work, exceeding or equivalent to Facilities Technician II.
A valid Driver's License is required at the time of application.
Associates degree, technical, or vocational training are preferred.

The RTAA requires each candidate to successfully complete employment history verification before being considered for employment. All employment offers are subject to successful completion/passing of a drug‑screening test, a fingerprint criminal history records check, and security badging test.
