Job summary

Avports, the airport operator for New York Stewart International Airport (SWF) in New Windsor, NY, seeks a capable Capital Projects Manager to oversee capital and operating projects including planning, design, construction, and inspection.

You will manage the Capital Plan and Annual Major Maintenance Programs (AMMP), coordinate with stakeholders, ensure Life Safety and Fire Protection standards, and supervise internal and contractor staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in project management, design, inspection, and/or construction.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently using limited resources.
• Knowledge of NYS Building Code requirements and related engineering design codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management of capital and operating projects for the facility.
• Develop and coordinate the airport Capital Plan and Annual Major Maintenance Programs (AMMP).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver an asset management plan meeting facility goals.
• Serve as the airport technical expert on Fire Protection and Life Safety (FPLS).
• Coordinate deficiencies inspections and tenant lease inspections; oversee repairs.
• Assist in scope development, budgeting, and management of consultant contracts.
• Coordinate the facility structural integrity program with PANYNJ QA and other teams.
• Represent the facility in Sustainability Program activities.
• Prepare technical drawings when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
