Job summary

The Sanford Airport Authority is seeking an Electrician in the SAA Maintenance Department in Sanford, FL to maintain electrical systems across airport properties, including the AOA and Terminal.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to pass background checks and drug screening, and readiness to work from various shift patterns; the role offers full-time employment and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to pass Federal Fingerprint Background Check.
• Ability to pass a 10-panel Drug Test.
• Favorable Moving Violation Report (MVR) is considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems throughout airport properties using work orders, manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Repair runway and taxiway lights, signage regulators, and airfield computers; access systems via electric vault.
• Create and file reports on airfield repair, replacement, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain roadway and industrial lighting; respond to electrical issues and replace panels, breakers, outlets, and wiring.
• Notify supervision of unusual problems and assist Maintenance Staff as needed.
• Keep a safe, clean, and compliant work area and participate in meetings to stay updated on policies.
