Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Observer for Southwest and Central Florida. The role covers airport terminals, hangars, maintenance facilities and related site development, with periodic travel.

You will monitor construction activities, ensure compliance, and document findings throughout all project phases. Requirements include a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), at least six years of building inspection experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Six years of building inspection experience in commercial, institutional, aviation, or public-sector projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, codes and technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare inspection reports.
• Current driver's license and clean driving record required.
• FDOT/DOT exposure and specific certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex technical construction observation and inspections for airport buildings.
• Verify contractor work complies with contract documents, codes, and standards.
• Prepare reports and maintain daily inspection logs; communicate discrepancies to stakeholders.
• Attend meetings with project managers, clients, contractors and regulators.
