We are seeking an experienced AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION BUILDING INSPECTOR for a full-time position located in our San Antonio, Texas office.

Overall Responsibilities:

Conduct construction observations and inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and all regulatory requirements on Aviation Projects.

Responsibilities:

• Attend and participate in pre-construction and progress meetings.
• Review contractor's quality control plan and confirm adherence.
• Review and understand submittals, RFIs, change orders, etc.
• Document material quantities through measurements and review contractor pay applications.
• Review contractor's monthly schedule updates.
• Prepare reports as required (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Maintain project record drawings.
• Coordinate and schedule testing labs, ensuring tests are performed per specifications.
• Review test reports and certifications for compliance.
• Maintain a file of test reports and certifications.
• Address contractor's non-conforming work.
• Participate in project closeout activities, including substantial completion, O&M's, and final testing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• At least 3 years of experience as a construction inspector on aviation projects (Landside & Airside).
• Experience with commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to pass TSA Security Threat Assessment (background check).
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Pay Range:

• 3-10 years of experience: $37.00-$41.00/hour
• 10-14 years of experience: $41.00-$47.00/hour
• 15+ years of experience: $46.00-$51.00/hour

Work Environment:

Exposure to moving machinery, uneven ground, dust, fumes, loud noise, and outdoor weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Must perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, bending, and working at heights or in extreme temperatures.

Other Requirements:

• Valid state driver's license.
• Travel within 100 miles daily; possible out-of-town assignments.
• Irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Background checks required.
