Allied Universal in New York is hiring a Security Guard - Airport Concourse to safeguard clients at an aviation location. You will provide outstanding customer service, perform routine patrols, and deter security incidents while maintaining a visible security presence throughout shift hours.

The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Age 18+ for unarmed; 21+ for armed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aviation-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including public spaces, tenant areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, while providing courteous assistance and directions to visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site management and/or emergency responders.
