Job summary

Lochner in Oklahoma City seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to lead transportation design projects for OKC and local airport sponsors. You will guide engineering analyses, develop plans and cost estimates, and manage client relations from proposal through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of project management experience on transportation projects.
• Professional License in OK preferred.
• Business development and marketing experience in OK.
• Ability to lead proposals (written, presentations, interviews).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage design projects for OKC, OK and local airport sponsors.
• Direct and/or perform engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.
• Direct and/or develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Develop client relationships and foster new business.
• Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, sub-consultants, clients and reviewers.
• Manage project documentation, schedules, budgets and scope.
• Oversee project budgets, determine scope of work, estimate fees, and prepare proposals and contracts.
• Schedule work for team members to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Ensure efficient and productive utilization of staff.
• Hire, supervise, develop, and evaluate engineering support staff.
