Job summary

ERMC Aviation seeks a BHS and PBB Maintenance Technician to support baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges at AVL Airport. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, calibrate equipment, and ensure safety and compliance with procedures.

Candidates should have strong mechanical/electrical skills, experience with PLCs and diagnostic tools, and be able to work nights or weekends as needed in a field-based role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in automated equipment.
• Experience with troubleshooting automated control systems and PLCs.
• Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.
• Ability to read repair manuals and schematics, and follow procedures.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on baggage handling systems and related equipment.
• Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system faults.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Adjust or calibrate machinery as necessary and monitor performance.
• Read manuals and schematics and complete applicable training.
• Maintain safety and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Support senior personnel and participate in on-the-job training.
• Assist with basic housekeeping and other maintenance tasks as needed.
