Responsibilities

How will you make an impact?

• Guide and direct incoming and outgoing aircraft at the airport on the taxiway to ensure that they are entering or leaving their gate safely and on time.
• Load, unload, and sort passenger baggage as a baggage handler, and appropriately transfer baggage on the ramp, cargo/freight, and company materials. Some items can weigh up to 75 lbs.
• Drive ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts to assist with aircraft push-in/out, baggage loading, and delivery to the claim area or connecting flights.
• Collaborate with the internal team to ensure a safe and on-time departure.
• May clean the interior of the aircraft and service aircraft lavatories.
• Create a positive start to a passenger's trip by greeting passengers and providing a seamless check-in and ticketing experience.
• Use reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and handle fees.
• Inform passengers about their trips and belongings, ensuring clear communication.
• Work with the team to ensure passenger information is processed accurately and flights depart on time.
• Resolve passenger issues related to flight interruptions in a friendly and timely manner.
• May work in the Baggage Service Office to track baggage and handle passenger questions.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 18
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
• Valid, unexpired, and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant state driver’s license or passport; some restrictions may apply

• Ability to work rotating shifts including days, overnights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off
• Flexibility to work additional hours with short notice when necessary
• Ability to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and items weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Willingness to work outside in variable weather conditions
• Enjoy working under deadlines and in outdoor environments; interest in the airline industry
• Clear, polite, and friendly communication skills
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently

• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
