Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring an Airline Passenger Assistant (Wheelchair Agent) to provide wheelchair assistance and passenger services for airline customers. Pay is $12.00 per hour plus tips, with tipping customary and potential extra earnings.

This role emphasizes customer service and safety: follow safety procedures, assist with baggage, transport passengers in wheelchairs, coordinate with dispatchers and gate agents, and file incident reports.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
• Preferred: one year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety precautions at all times while transporting passengers.
• Positive interpersonal interaction with passengers.
• Comply with all client and/or site security requirements and processes.
• Safely transport passengers in wheelchairs from their retrieval point to their destination within the client site or grounds.
• Assist passengers with baggage retrieval and transport, if necessary.
• Coordinate assignments with dispatchers and gate Agents, if necessary.
• Complete thorough Incident Reports
