Job summary

gategroup is seeking a Sous Chef, Operations in the United States, Seattle area to lead daily production for hot and cold kitchens and supervise a team of cooks. You will ensure quality, safety and adherence to company and customer specifications while managing shift schedules and labor costs.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in high-volume food service, and up to 25% travel. Exempt position with comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Culinary Arts or certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Chef and/or Sous Chef.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a cook.
• Previous supervisory experience in high-volume food production or catering preferred.
• In-flight catering or high-volume food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and preparing meals for airline customers.
• Provide culinary leadership and ensure food safety and sanitation compliance.
• Drive food production with supervision of Food Supervisors.
• Oversee labour objectives and wage/hour compliance.
• Train and manage employees; optimize shift schedules and production sheets.
