Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an experienced aircraft mechanic to service and maintain aircraft and ground support equipment for flight training and test operations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, inspections, and maintenance on airframes and powerplants, supporting R&D test teams, and ensuring compliance with manuals and government orders. Candidate must have an FAA A&P license and HS diploma.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft and ground support equipment for flight training and test operations.
  • Support test teams for R&D efforts.
  • Perform work on airframe and powerplant in support of flight training and testing.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft and engine systems to identify solutions.
  • Develop and review new processes and procedures.
  • Assist in training efforts for customers.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Inspect powerplant and components per maintenance manuals and government orders.
  • Review records to ensure documentation is complete as required.
  • Perform launch and recovery tasks, ground ops, and postflight checks.
  • Maintain productive and safe working environment following procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
