Job summary

Kalitta Charters in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to perform inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on company aircraft in compliance with FAA requirements and Repair Station Manual.

You will work in a team-oriented environment, maintain accurate documentation, and support safe, mission-ready operations. Day shift, on-site at LCK; three years of maintenance experience preferred; valid A&P certificate required.

Qualifications

  • Must have FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
  • At least three years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preflight, post-flight, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks on company aircraft.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust, service, and repair aircraft systems, components, airframes, and engines.
  • Accurately complete required maintenance documentation and records.

Based at Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) in Columbus, Ohio, our team supports time-sensitive operations requiring quick turnarounds, specialized handling, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. We are seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic who takes pride in precision, teamwork, and keeping aircraft mission-ready.

Job Summary:

The A&P Mechanic performs inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with applicable aircraft maintenance manuals, company policies and procedures, FAA requirements, and the Repair Station Manual. This role is ideal for a dependable aviation maintenance professional who values safety, accountability, and high-quality workmanship.

Functions/Responsibility:
  • Perform preflight, post-flight, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance checks on company aircraft.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust, service, and repair aircraft systems, components, airframes, and engines as assigned.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies while following applicable maintenance manuals, technical data, and company procedures.
  • Ensure work performed is properly inspected by authorized aircraft inspection personnel when required.
  • Accurately complete required maintenance documentation, records, and computer-based entries.
  • Use tools, equipment, and safety practices appropriately in a shop, ramp, hangar, or outdoor environment.
  • Report failures, safety concerns, or deficiencies promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Complete required training and maintain applicable qualifications.
  • Work independently or as part of a crew while contributing to a professional, team-focused environment.
  • Work overtime, weekends, or in inclement weather as operational needs require.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must comply with all applicable FAA, DOT, safety, security, and company requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • At least three years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and communicate in English as needed to safely perform job duties, complete required documentation, and comply with FAA and company requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening, including a DOT/FAA drug screen and background check, as required by law and company policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience maintaining Beechcraft Baron or Learjet 30-series aircraft.
  • Jet aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and computer-based maintenance recordkeeping skills.

Location Requirements:
  • This position is based in Columbus, Ohio at Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK).
  • This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
