Job summary

Ozarks Technical Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor – Airframe & Powerplant to teach airframe-related coursework and laboratory instruction. The role develops daily lesson plans, uses college-approved curriculum, and maintains required certifications.

The instructor will foster a safe learning environment, engage students, and collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure program outcomes and accreditation standards are met.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution (or ability to complete within six months).
• FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant certificates.
• Three years of relevant work experience in aviation maintenance or related field.
• Demonstrate ability to diagnose and repair aircraft and equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction reflective of current discipline standards using college–approved curriculum and resources.
• Assist with curriculum development, implementation, and assessment to support program outcomes.
• Assist with development and maintenance of course outlines using approved descriptions and outcomes.
• Engage with students using intentional best practice teaching strategies.
• Plan and prepare the learning environment with needed materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with full-time instructors on curriculum, objectives and materials.

Education
