Job summary

Archer is an aerospace company in San Jose, CA building an all-electric VTOL aircraft. This 10-week full-time summer internship is based at Archer’s headquarters in San Jose and does not provide relocation or housing.

The role focuses on design development in Siemens NX, documentation, and collaboration with interiors, mechanisms, design, stress, and M&P teams. We target rising juniors/seniors in engineering or science, with strong communication, organization, and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior at accredited college or university in an engineering or science discipline.
• Ability to learn and adapt within an ambiguous environment.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization and project management skills.
• Eager to learn, positive attitude, and highly motivated.
• Bonus: knowledge of Google Suite applications; Siemens NX; experience with composites or mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Assisting team members in developing designs in Siemens NX and supporting documentation using the Google software suite
• Apply design for manufacturing concepts to create designs that are cost effective and easy to fabricate at rate.
• Work closely with other engineers on the interiors, mechanisms, design, stress, and M&P teams
• Support technical and program management interactions with our suppliers
