Combined Selection Group Ltd. is seeking an Airframe & Composite Technician to support fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of composite and metallic aircraft structures.

The role involves working with engineers, technicians, and suppliers to build prototype airframes and systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on aerospace experience, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a strong commitment to safety and workmanship.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hand and power tools.
• Assemble and fabricate test rigs, fixtures, and test articles.
• Support composite layups, mould preparation, resin application, vacuum bagging, and oven curing.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, work instructions, and test procedures.
• Fabricate, assemble, and handle close-tolerance aerospace components.
• Operate ground-support equipment, including forklifts and gantry cranes.
• Assemble prototype aircraft mechanical and electrical systems.
• Support internal and external aircraft test campaigns.
• Inspect parts and assemblies for appearance, functionality, dimensions, tolerances, and specification compliance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
• Source and collect parts, materials, and equipment from local suppliers and fabrication partners as required.
• Collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams.

As they continue to expand their aircraft development programs, they are seeking a hands‑on Airframe & Composite Technician to support aircraft assembly, integration, and testing activities.

About the Role

As an Airframe & Composite Technician , you will play a key role in the fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of composite and metallic aircraft structures. Working closely with engineers and fellow technicians, you will support the build and installation of airframe components, propulsion mounts, wiring harnesses, actuation systems, and other critical aircraft assemblies. This is a practical, fast-paced position focused on prototype aircraft development, composite manufacturing, bonded assemblies, jigs and fixtures, and system integration. Your work will directly contribute to the successful build and testing of next‑generation aerospace platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hand and power tools, including torque wrenches, saws, drills, and soldering irons.
• Assemble and fabricate test rigs, fixtures, and test articles.
• Support composite layups, mould preparation, resin application, vacuum bagging, and oven curing processes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, work instructions, and test procedures.
• Fabricate, assemble, and handle close‑tolerance aerospace components.
• Operate ground‑support equipment, including forklifts and gantry cranes.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in aerospace, composites, aircraft assembly, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools, including drills, torque wrenches, saws, and other assembly equipment.
• Experience operating ground‑support equipment.
• Experience working with resins, adhesives, sealants, and primers.
• Experience assembling, fabricating, or handling close‑tolerance components.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, hands‑on technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience manufacturing or assembling aircraft or aircraft components.
• Composite fabrication and repair experience.
• CNC machining experience.
• OSHA certification.
• Familiarity with engineering specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and quality procedures.
• Experience working with drones, unmanned aircraft, or related aerospace systems.
