Job summary

Austin Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on the fleet. Responsibilities

Job Qualifications and Competencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous background and/or experience in mechanical operations
• Use of computers and other office equipment
• Experience working in airport ramp and warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
• Availability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
• Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally with assistance from coworkers or tools

Employment Requirements

Employment is contingent upon a valid driver’s license and clear driving record, a 10‑year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required. Proof of high school or GED completion is required. Minimum 18 years of age.
