Job description

Description

The Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic shall have the following responsibilities and qualifications:

  1. Performs assembly, disassembly, and repairs required in completion of airframe overhaul, repair, modification, and upgrades, including removal, replacement, and repair of parts of engines, airframes, and aircraft structures and systems.
  2. Performs airframe, powerplant, and propeller repairs and modifications to meet company and FAA requirements.
  3. Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting of airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems.
  4. Conducts airframe system, component changes, and systems checkouts.
  5. Interprets technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  6. Performs other activities as assigned.
  7. Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements.
  8. Acts as a leader and trainer of a functional and/or cross-functional team.
Qualifications
  • Education Required: Airframe and Powerplant License
  • Experience Required: Minimum 5 years' experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance or airframe sheet metal maintenance.
  • Knowledge Required: Experience in MROs, operation of pneumatic, power, and hand tools, and knowledge of jet, piston, airframe, and engine principles. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to handle weights as per safety guidelines, perform duties in standing, kneeling, or squatting positions, with good eyesight and color distinction.
