Job summary

StandardAero in Houston, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector, A&P to verify airworthiness by inspecting aircraft structures, engines, and systems during maintenance and repair. You will certify RTS and ensure compliance with FAA manuals.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, training peers, and guiding technicians through proper procedures while maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy MRO environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as Aviation Mechanic performing inspections.
• Formal aviation training from a military or technical school program.
• Experience in multiple levels of maintenance or MRO/overhaul environments.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Inspects all types of aircraft before, during, and after maintenance.
• Determines serviceability of systems using precise measuring tools and NDT if certified.
• Performs preliminary, in-process, and final inspections of repaired/altered articles.
• Provides procedural guidance to technicians and inspectors.
• Trains and assists technicians in proper work procedures.
• Monitors work in progress to ensure proper paperwork and methods.
• Documents inspection results in paperwork and logbooks.
• Executes final review of work order documentation for RTS.
