Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform airflow testing on aerospace and industrial gas turbine components using specialized test equipment.
• Set up test fixtures, verify calibration status, and confirm test parameters before inspection.
• Load and secure components to ensure accurate and repeatable test results.
• Evaluate airflow readings against engineering specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Identify and document airflow discrepancies, including leakage, restrictions, and out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment, fixture, and test setup issues.
• Segregate and identify nonconforming hardware in accordance with quality procedures.
• Complete inspection records, travelers, routers, and electronic documentation accurately.
• Maintain component traceability and proper identification throughout the inspection process.
• Communicate inspection findings and equipment issues to Quality and Manufacturing teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while supporting 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety, quality, regulatory, and company requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and interpreting technical documentation.
• Previous manufacturing, quality inspection, testing, or aerospace experience.
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality concerns.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to accurately collect, record, and interpret test and inspection data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and commitment to quality.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• Aerospace manufacturing or aerospace inspection experience.
• Experience operating airflow, pressure, leak-check, or other test equipment.
• Quality Control Inspector (QC) experience.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of blueprint interpretation and geometric tolerancing.
• Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequent use of hand tools, stationary equipment, and inspection tools.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling components throughout the workday.
• Requires manual dexterity and attention to detail when processing and inspecting parts.
• May require lifting, carrying, and moving materials between operations.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other equipment as designated.
• Must be able to safely work around manufacturing equipment and airborne particulates associated with blasting and finishing operations.
