Job summary

Xebia is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Apache Airflow experience to join a customer-focused project. You will design, implement, and optimize DAGs and workflows while guiding clients on best practices and integration with their data platforms.

This role requires strong Python skills and comfort working in remote, distributed teams. You will collaborate with customers and an internal project owner to deliver stable production environments, adopt scalable data solutions, and share knowledge

Qualifications

• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience with DAG development and operations.
• Professional Python experience.
• Experience with data engineering platforms or data infrastructure.
• Experience in a customer-facing, consulting or enablement role.
• Strong troubleshooting in distributed, production environments.
• Ability to work independently in remote, distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on Airflow configuration, DAG development, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
• Advise customers on Airflow best practices across different technology stacks.
• Help integrate Airflow with data ecosystems and cloud data warehouses.
• Support customers during initial platform adoption and production onboarding.
• Troubleshoot complex Airflow and distributed system issues for customers.
• Deliver technical guidance and knowledge sharing to customer engineering teams.
• Collaborate with internal project owner on scope, status tracking, priorities, and delivery activities.
• Contribute to documentation and reusable technical guidance for common Airflow use cases.
• Work independently in a remote and distributed environment.
