Job summary

City of Boise is seeking an Airfield Maintenance Technician to operate heavy equipment and maintain runways, taxiways and airfield areas at Boise Airport. This role offers a 4/10 schedule with three-day weekends and requires a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

The position emphasizes experience with heavy machinery, CDL with tanker endorsement, and ability to obtain additional city certifications within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience with heavy equipment or general maintenance.
• Valid CDL with tanker endorsement; ability to obtain additional city certifications within six months.
• Capability to pass background checks and safety trainings as required by the City of Boise.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and specialized equipment to maintain runways, taxiways and airfield areas.
• Perform snow removal, painting, spraying and general maintenance as needed.
• Comply with safety standards and participate in inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Support emergency response and airport operations as required.
