Job summary

RS&H in Columbus, OH is seeking an airfield engineering associate to join our aviation team. You will work with a collaborative group to create civil projects for airports across the United States, using AutoCAD daily to produce plans including geometric design.

Under guidance of senior engineers, you’ll contribute to runways, taxiways, and aprons, plus pavement and stormwater infrastructure. Occasional travel (<25%) to coordinate with airports, FAA, and construction managers. ABET-certified education preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Willing to learn AutoCAD and other software platforms.
• Proven team player with collaborative mindset.
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in drawing aviation infrastructure plans.

Responsibilities

• Create civil aviation project drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assist with runway, taxiway, and apron designs.
• Coordinate with airports, FAA, and CM; limited travel (<25%).
