Job summary

Honda Aircraft Company seeks an experienced aviation professional to provide aircraft technical assistance and guidance to customers and service facilities. The role focuses on technical support, regulatory compliance, and accurate issue tracking.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in aviation, an A&P license, and strong knowledge of airworthiness regulations, with hands‑on experience reading engineering drawings and diagrams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in aviation related field strongly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Airframe & Powerplant license is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in the aviation/aerospace industry.
• Experience with FAA Part 145 repair station requirements.
• Technical knowledge in repair inspection methods and repair development in both composite and metal structures.
• Understanding of operations under FAA Parts 91 and 135.
• Familiarity with EASA and CAAV requirements.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents (drawings, diagrams, reports).
• Technical knowledge in aircraft electrical, avionic, mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Serves as technical support subject matter expert.
• Works directly with Honda Aircraft customers and service facilities regarding technical support.
• Maintains the customer database for accurate tracking of field issues identified and resolved.
• Maintains the reporting database to meet requirements per regulations.
• Coordinates Continued Airworthiness updates based on customer feedback.

Job Purpose

This position provides aircraft technical assistance and guidance to Honda Aircraft customers and service facilities.

Key Accountabilities

• Serves as technical support subject matter expert.
• Works directly with Honda Aircraft customers and service facilities regarding technical support.
• Maintains the customer database for accurate tracking of all field issues identified and resolved.
• Maintains the reporting database to ensure all requirements are met in accordance with Title 14 Code of Federal Regulation Part 21.3.
• Coordinates instructions for Continued Airworthiness updates based on customer feedback.

Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

• Associate’s degree in aviation related field strongly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Airframe & Powerplant license is strongly preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in the aviation/aerospace industry.
• Experience with Federal Aircraft Regulation Part 145 repair station requirements.
• Technical knowledge in repair inspection methods and repair development in both composite and metal structures.
• Understanding of operations under Federal Aircraft Regulation Parts 91 and 135.
• Familiarity with European Union Aviation Safety Agency and Civil Aviation Authority requirements.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents. (engineering drawings, wire diagrams, logic trees, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Engineering reports)
• Technical knowledge in aircraft electrical and avionic systems
• Technical knowledge in aircraft mechanical systems

Working Conditions

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Some travel may be required
