Janicki Industries is seeking an Aircraft Systems Technician Lead to join our Hamilton, Washington team. You will lead one or more crews in executing aircraft systems projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery while training the crew.

The role requires the ability to read drawings and work orders, follow AS9100/Nadcap standards, and obtain a U.S. Secret clearance. A high school diploma or GED and US citizenship or permanent residency are required.

We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for an Aircraft Systems Technician Lead to join our growing team.

This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Aircraft Systems Technician Lead position involves leading one or more teams in the execution of various aircraft systems projects. The position is responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed under their charge as well as the training and safety of their crew. The primary responsibility of the Aircraft Systems Technician Lead is to ensure the assigned work is completed in a timely manner, this includes assigning and explaining daily tasks to technicians; monitoring work progress and compliance with policies and procedures; training and assisting technicians. The Aircraft Systems Technician Lead will actively participate in classroom and on-the-job training leading to reasonable advancement in skill level, and will work other areas as assigned. Working hours will overlap shift change to facilitate work in progress transition.

The following essential job functions are performed as an Aircraft Systems Technician Lead:

• Reads, interprets, and follows pass downs, work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, work instructions and other technical and non-technical documents.
• Receives and carries out directions from designated supervisors.
• Participates in training, safety, and quality programs.
• Keeps work orders stamped, dated and organized.
• Electrical Harness routing & inspection, electrical soldering & inspection, electrical bonding & inspection, ground network installation.
• Aerospace style electrical connection installation and testing support, anti-chafing wrap installation.
• Electrical Equipment installation and Electrical System continuity testing.
• Hardline tube routing and fit-up and titanium, aluminum, and SS tube swaging
• Threaded fitting install, torquing, and sealing.
• Oxygen tube installation and ECS ducting installation
• Leak checking and pressure test support.
• Follows Janicki Industries Rules and Safety Practices and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follows 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap standards and practices throughout all work performed.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition.
• Has knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools for assembly components per verbal, written, and drawing requirements.
• Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction.
• Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
• Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED.
• Current DoD Secret Clearance Required (Investigation within the last 6 years) preferred.
• Prior military experience encouraged.
• Must have the ability to read, understand and follow work orders, written procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents.
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Wage range for this role is between$30 - $50an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
