Job summary

An FAA/EASA certificated repair facility in Bloomfield, CT, is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician to assess, repair, and refurbish airframe components. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with aircraft structures and a High School Diploma. What you will be doing…

• Assesses maintenance/repair requirements for airframe components and assemblies using technical manuals, service bulletins, and other approved data.
• Provides technical information to engineers for the development of repairs outside of approved data scope when required.
• Performs approved repair operations to structures including sheet metal and other structures.
• Overhauls mechanical assemblies including repairs and part replacements.
• Documents maintenance/repair actions per company and FAA requirements.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for…

You will need to have:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with aircraft structures
• High School Diploma
• Must own and be skilledin the use of structures and hand tools related to the responsibilities described above.
• wellversedin the use of production and repair-related prints/drawings.
• Abilityto readprecision measuring tools and instruments.
• Working knowledgeof FAA regulations, their interpretation, and application.
• Intermediate levelcomputer skills including basic use of MS Outlook (or other e-mail application), Word, and Excel preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter both orally and in writing.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience working in a leadership/ mentorship role
• Associates degree in aviation maintenance or related field
• Airframe and Powerplant Certification
