Job summary

Flexjet Technical Services (EMS) in Cleveland, OH, seeks a Structures Technician to lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install aircraft structures and components, reading blueprints and drawings to determine methods and sequence.

You will use precision measuring tools, perform riveting, drilling, reaming, and modify parts for configuration changes while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years heavy structural experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience with various types of aircraft, power plant maintenance and inspections.
• Working knowledge of rigging and installation of operating mechanisms, structures, assemblies and parts, related systems and equipment, and assembly shop practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments; strong planning and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fabricate, assemble, mate, install, check or troubleshoot and repair production and prototype aircraft structures, parts and mechanical assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, planning, process specifications, diagrams and drawings to determine methods and sequence of operations.
• Layout holes, cutouts, trim lines, mating points and installation locations using precision instruments.
• Assemble and mate aircraft parts and assemblies; rivet and use hand/power tools.
• Drill, ream, countersink, spot-face and counter bore parts; modify parts per engineering changes.
• Perform modifications to aircraft structure and systems per requirements.
• Ensure a clean and safe work area; support other departments as needed.
