Job summary

Aerotek in Wichita, KS seeks a Liaison Engineer to coordinate engineering-driven production repairs on a composite structure modification and repair line, bridging engineering and shop floor teams to ensure repairs meet design specs and aerospace standards.

You will review drawings, guide implementation of repairs for sheet metal and advanced composites, interact with technicians and engineers, and use Microsoft Office to document activities and track progress on a first-shift, onsite

Qualifications

• 10+ years of aircraft structures experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead activities to evaluate and resolve engineering-related production problems on a composite structure modification and repair production line.
• Develop, document, and coordinate the implementation of individual repair solutions for sheet metal and composite aircraft structures.
• Evaluate minor discrepancies on sheet metal and composite structural components and provide immediate, practical resolutions that align with engineering standards.
• Work closely with mechanics on the shop floor to interpret engineering requirements, clarify repair instructions, and support proper execution of structural repairs.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure repairs and modifications comply with design specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable aerospace standards.
