Job summary

GP Strategies Government Solutions has an immediate need for an Aircraft Structures Instructor to support a large aerospace client. The role covers Heavy Structures, Drill and Fill, Fastener Install and Removal, Bond and Ground and Sealing and is a full-time, regular position.

Candidates should have hands-on aircraft maintenance/production experience on the C-130, with F-35 experience a plus, and be able to read engineering drawings. Travel of 10-15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on aircraft maintenance and/or production work on the C-130.
• Hands-on aircraft maintenance and/or production work on the F-35 a plus.
• Knowledge in aviation manufacturing and subassembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings.
• Electrical bonding prep including bond meters, multimeters, etc.
• Fastener install and removal.
• Tool control/Consumable control.
• Experience training on aircraft structural components including lecturing or mentoring in a lab or On-The-Job training environment.
• Strong presentation/training background.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training covering a broad range of structures topics (Heavy Structures, Drill and Fill, etc.).
• Lecture and mentor students in a lab or OJT setting.
• Travel 10-15% to nearby locations as needed.
