Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in engineering contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Review submissions and coordinate with engineering groups and QA.
  • Develop aircraft components/structures/repairs per program requirements.
  • Plan and assess feasibility of projects based on resources and demand.
  • Direct installation, testing, and maintenance of aircraft components/equipment.
  • Create tooling with CAD to support maintenance tasks.
  • Produce technical documentation and reports.

Job Summary:Qualifications and Experience:Working Conditions:

  • Reviews TO 00-25-107 submissions and responses.o Partner with SPO Engineering groups and Government Quality Assuranceo Propose technically sound dispositions that match capabilities of shop and work force
  • Develops new or improved aircraft components/structures/repairs on Program assigned aircraft fleets IAW PWS, Army,USAF, USN, FAA, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Analyzes technology, resource needs, and maintenance demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Plans and directs the installation, testing, operation and maintenance of aircraft components and equipment.
  • Authors & reviews updates and corrections to technical orders (AFTO Form 22)
  • Create or work with CAD (Solidworks, CATIA) to create tooling as required to facilitate maintenance
  • Develop technical documentation including presentations, reports, drawings, and other engineering data
  • Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
  • Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relatingto airfield operations.
  • Five years of liaison or repair engineering experience of aircraft structures.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering required.o Preferably Structural, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Specific knowledge of aircraft structural configuration, structural load path, design of repairs, standard repairs, repairmethods repair materials, sheet metal, machinings and composites.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).
  • Comprehensive understanding of maintenanceand quality control procedures in an USAF aviation environment.
  • Line maintenance and intermediate maintenance experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with USAF Engineering, IETMs, AFTO Form 22, and Aircraft Structural Integrity Program and technology
  • Must possess competent computer skills.
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data andspecial operating instructions in the same language.
  • Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipmentand aircraft.
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.
  • Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing,stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
  • Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.
