Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation seeks a skilled Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic for a depot-level repair facility supporting U.S. military aircraft such as F/A-18 and F-35. The role involves disassembling, modifying, repairing and reassembling complex metal structures and requires the ability to obtain a government clearance.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of sheet metal experience; A&P license is a plus. U.S.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years Sheetmetal Mechanic (Aircraft Mechanic I) experience.
A&P license not required but a plus.
Prefer experience from military fixed wing community or civilian heavy structure background.
Experience in heavy structure U.S. Military or related FAA or civil aviation.

Responsibilities

Perform a full range of aircraft sheet metal duties including disassembly, modification, repair, and reassembly of complex metal items and systems.
Analyze and evaluate structural damage to metal systems; fabricate and repair items from various metals; meet appearance, strength, and tolerance standards.
Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, protractors, dial gauges, etc.) to inspect parts and assemblies.
Other duties as assigned.
