Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, based in Wichita, KS, seeks skilled assemblers to join a union-represented team. You will drill, buck and rivet structural components, read prints, and perform inspections to ensure alignment with specifications. Overtime and shift flexibility are required.

Pay starts at $23.66/hour with potential to reach up to $39.32/hour under the collective bargaining agreement; benefits and tax credits may apply for eligible employees in Kansas.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on concrete floors, uneven surfaces, and in confined spaces.
• The main tasks of the position consist of constant drilling, bucking and riveting for an 8-hour shift along with overtime as needed by production needs.
• All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect and complete structural and system components per drawings and specs.
• Obtain information from prints, charts, sketches and work instructions.
• Use precision measuring tools to complete work and test assemblies and components.
• Verify work per instructions and identify discrepancies.
• Perform routine machine maintenance as part of daily duties.
