Job summary

Global Logistics Support Services (GLSS) has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Mechanic II - Sheet Metal at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. The role focuses on repairing engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance for aircraft of moderate difficulty.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with fighter jet maintenance, especially F-15, and hold or are eligible for a DOW Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of F-15 Military Service Aircraft Maintenance Avionics/Electrical Program is highly desirable.
• Three or more years of experience maintaining fighter jet aircraft at the organizational, intermediate or depot level is required.
• Three or more years of experience performing F-15 Aircraft Sheet Metal maintenance and repair is highly desirable.
• Active DOW Secret Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions.
• Restores equipment condition and/or operation using appropriate procedures.
• Interprets technical documentation to solve moderate to complex problems and select replacement parts.
