The State of Maine seeks a Fire Fighter to perform investigative and protective services in Bangor, responsible for firefighting, crash rescue, and equipment maintenance. Work includes responding to emergencies, operating specialized vehicles, and providing medical care when required.

The role requires certs in Fire Fighter I & II, HAZMAT Ops, and EMS Responder, with overtime potential and a requirement to maintain proficiency in aircraft firefighting techniques.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience in an organized fire department.
• Certification in Fire Fighter I & II, HAZMAT – Operations Level, Emergency Medical Responder level, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsabilités

• Fight structural and aircraft fires as part of a firefighting team.
• Respond to aircraft rescue situations to save lives and minimize damage.
• Operate and drive firefighting/rescue vehicles to scenes and position for access.
• Provide First Aid/Emergency Medical Responder care when needed.
